According to his initial report, Butler is no longer listed on the Arizona Cardinals reserve/retired list. What does it mean? Butler is one of the best players to ever hit the football field. Rapoport’s report on his potential return will definitely cause a stir in the NFL. Teams will go after Butler right after this report. Of course, his decision may be on the table at the moment. Butler won’t return for nothing. He is back to win and earn some money.

“Malcolm Butler is planning a comeback,” Rapoport said. “We got an inkling of this when he appeared on the transaction wire when the Cardinals released him from the reserve/retired list. I talked to a source close to him today who confirmed that Malcolm Butler, who arrived in Arizona, struggled in training camp and then stepped away from personal reasons, wants to be back. We’ll see where he ends up but I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler just yet.”

Patriots player to join good team upon his potential comeback

Who will be the first team to make an offer? The Patriots? He was a Patriots for a few seasons and they joined the Tennessee Titans. Butler played his best football in 2020, finishing the regular season with 100 total tackles and four interceptions. Belichick would love to see more of it and he can always use someone like Butler.
