Devin Booker Claps Back at Anthony Davis Over Playoffs Claim

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a big blow in the game against the Phoenix Suns. They finished the game with a 140-111 loss. It was really disappointing and it looks like the Suns got their revenge. Devin Booker had a message for Anthony Davis and the Lakers.

The Lakers met the Suns in the first round of the playoffs. They had a 2-1 lead but the Suns were the ultimate winners.

Davis’ injury gave the Suns a great advantage. The Lakers big man said that if healthy, his team would have won the title.

“We know that, they know that,” Davis said. “They got away with one.”

I guess Booker didn’t like any of this.

“If ‘if’ was a fifth, we’d all be drunk,” Booker told the media following the big win over the purple and gold. “There’s a lot of ifs in this game. And you look at history along the lines, there’s something that comes up for every team during every season. So, instead of just taking the high route and going, you have to make a comment like that, it’s kind of funny.”

Davis is injured again and missed a big chunk of the regular season. One thing stands for sure. He tries really hard to go back to game action.

“I’m very optimistic about it,” the big man said. “I’m trying to get back on the court as soon as possible. As far as a number or something, I would love to say 100 but with only a certain amount of games yet, not 100 percent sure.”

Devin Booker may not meet Anthony Davis and the Lakers in the playoffs

Lakers players struggle to win games this season and they lost seven of the last nine games. LeBron James is an optimist though. He believes that Davis’ return would be of great help for the team. There’s still hope for the Lakers. Of course, this doesn’t mean that Davis’ injury is the only problem LA has this season.

“It puts a band-aid on some things,” LeBron said following the loss. “But I mean, we just haven’t had enough chemistry, enough time with our group to be able to know exactly who we are and who we can become. [We haven’t] had enough minutes on the floor.

“We literally just played a team that has probably had the most consistent starting lineup over the last two or three years. And obviously [Chris Paul’s] been out, but they bring in Cameron Payne, and the thing keeps going. It’s going to be challenging for us. AD definitely helps, but it’s not the answer to all the questions.”

Russell Westbrook gives Lakers fans a big headache. His performance is of no help for the purple and gold. Moreover, he looks like an obstacle. Will the Lakers trade him this offseason?
