Ex-Player Pushes LeBron James to Request Trade to 2 Specific Teams

The Los Angeles Lakers had a chance to make a few changes at the trade deadline, but the front office didn’t make any. NBA analysts discussed the situation in LA and some of them came up interesting trade plans. One of these trade plans puts LeBron James on the trade block. You’d all say that this is insane. The Lakers tried really hard to get LeBron and snatched him on the first day of his free agency. Why would they trade him now?

Enter all the analysts who say that the Lakers should take LeBron out of his misery. He is not someone who’d finish an NBA career with a loss. If you ask Charles Oakley, he’d say that LeBron should request a trade. Where would he go at this point of his career? Oakley bets on the Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns.

“I don’t know what’s gonna happen,” Oakley told Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay. “He may need to get out of L.A. He needs a ring. Might need to leave to get it. Two places he could probably get it is Philadelphia or Phoenix.”

The Lakers wouldn’t add LeBron James to a trade package

The Lakers entered the regular season as favorites to win the championship. They failed miserably, losing 40 games so far. LeBron would love to retire as a Laker but this plan may go down the hill. First, the current Lakers team may not be able to win a title at all. Second, LeBron’s son is entering the NBA in a couple of years. LeBron would love to play with his son. He won’t be chasing money at all. He will just try to give his best on the team that gets his son.

“This is a franchise I see myself being with. I’m here. I’m here,” LeBron said of the Lakers. “I see myself being with the purple and gold as long as I can play.”

How will the whole thing end? Maybe the Lakers will bring a few new guys to support the roster. Will Rob Pelinka even consider trading LeBron to his rival? I don’t think so.
