LeBron James Has Made Decision on Shutting It Down for Season

Many NBA analysts wrote the Los Angeles Lakers off for the season. They find it hard to believe that Lakers players will be able to switch to change the tune. One thing stands for sure. LeBron James won’t be shutting down the season right now.

It’s interesting to note that LeBron plays elite basketball and he is 37. Age has nothing on him, but he can’t win games without an extra pair of hands. Lakers players were plagued with injuries this season and some of them got COVID, too. Things went terribly wrong for the purple and gold. Let’s just say people wouldn’t bet on Frank Vogel and his team to win the championship this season.

LeBron doesn’t pay much attention to outside noise. He is doing his best every night. He goes out there and attacks the rim.

LeBron James is not shutting down his performance

Sadly, LeBron doesn’t get much help from his teammates. Anthony Davis deals with mid-foot strain and will miss even more games as suggested by his latest evaluation. Rob Pelinka decided to get Russell Westbrook to make things easier for Bron and Davis. Well, one of the most competitive players in the NBA didn’t meet expectations. His struggles are just too much. The Lakers didn’t get him for this. He didn’t sign up for this.

There’s another detail. LeBron and Davis are the ultimate leaders of the team, but they didn’t spend a lot of time on the floor together. That was the biggest obstacle for LA. Well, LeBron is not giving up.

“James, who has missed 17 games this season because of various injuries and most recently sat out five games from late January through early February with swelling in his left knee, has no plans to shut his season down at any point, sources close to James told ESPN,” Dave McMenamin from ESPN wrote. “James is committed to play out the season, wherever it goes.”
