Report: LeBron James, Magic Johnson Might Not Be On Good Terms

Magic Johnson helped the Los Angeles Lakers get LeBron James. The four-time NBA champion signed a nice deal with the Lakers, and yes, Johnson played a big role in negotiations. Things took an unexpected turn and Johnson resigned from his position in LA. Latest reports suggest that there’s a tension between LeBron and Magic Johnson, adding that the two may not be on good terms.

Brian Windhorst from ESPN talked about this topic during one of the episodes on his podcast.

“I also think it’s interesting to point out that I’m not so sure that LeBron and Magic are on the greatest of terms right now,” Windhorst said. “LeBron was very upset that Magic pulled the ripcord after the first year and didn’t even tell him, just did it.

“There’s scar tissue there, and earlier this year, when Magic criticized the Lakers, and rightly so — it wasn’t hard to criticize the Lakers — and LeBron was asked about it, LeBron declined to talk about it.”

LeBron James and Magic Johnson were on good terms

The Lakers struggle to win games and their gameplan seems to be falling apart. Frank Vogel has great plans for his team and he always has a backup plan. The Lakers have already waived DeAndre Jordan. Although Rob Pelinka didn’t want to make a move at the trade deadline, the front office decided to pull out a few strings and make the right thing for the purple and gold.

Johnson seems to be denying each and every allegation about the tension between him and LeBron. He shared a photo of him and LeBron and the caption was a little too loud.

“It can’t be anything but sweet when two @Lakers get together and talk hoops, business, and how to improve our community,” the Hall of Famer wrote.

Lakers players have to overcome a few obstacles at the moment. They don’t look like a title-winning team at the moment, but we have a good feeling about this one. Maybe LeBron and Rob Pelinka will come up with something to save the season.
