Rival Coach Puts an End to LeBron James Debate With Bold Message to Lakers Superstar

The Los Angeles Lakers signed LeBron James for a reason and he is definitely winning the GOAT debate. LeBron has accomplished more than any other player in league history. His Lakers have a bad season, but LeBron leads the NBA in points per game. This won’t really earn him a spot in the top 3 MVP candidates. However, Jason Kidd knows that LeBron is the best to ever play the game.

“I think LeBron will go down as the greatest to do it,” the rival coach said. “When you look at his numbers, what he’s done on and off the floor, no one’s done that. You got to put the whole package together. He’s the greatest of all time.”

LeBron passed Karl Malone for second on the all-time scoring list. He will pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for first.

LeBron James breaks records, puts an end to the GOAT debate

Kids likes the idea that LeBron broke pretty much every record in NBA books.

“He’s going to hold all the records, which is pretty cool,” he said. “I know growing up as a kid in Akron, he wasn’t thinking about having to score the most points in league history. He was just thinking about winning and he’s done that too. His focus is like no other. He understands what he’s doing at all times and he always prepares himself. We all dream about having that body and mind, but he takes care of himself. He spends money to make sure that his body and mind is right to work and he comes to work every day and he always delivers.”

Kidd watched the Lakers lose games this season. The team entered the regular season as top contenders, but things didn’t work the way they planned. Rob Pelinka had different plans when he traded for Russell Westbrook. LA sits outside the playoff picture at the moment.

According to the former Lakers assistant, injuries affected the team’s playoff hopes. This season has gone down the hill and Kidd believes that LeBron will make the necessary changes to win a ring next season.
