The Los Angeles Lakers had a lot of problems in the regular season. They struggled to win games and several factors led to their bad record. Players sustained serious injuries and spent a lot of time off the floor. LeBron James and Anthony Davis missed a big chunk of the regular season due to their injuries. AD is still out. Latest reports suggested that he may join the team in the first week of April. These struggles will probably push the team to the play-in tournament. Well, Shaquille O’Neal bets on the Lakers. Big Shaq shared his true feelings about the Lakers and their season.

If the Lakers end up in the play-in game, they will have to beat their opponent. LeBron will have to help his team make the eighth seed in the West.

Rob Pelinka’s team owns the ninth spot in the Western Conference. They have a 31-42 record at this point. Their city rivals own the eighth spot.

Shaq made a few big comments about the Lakers and the NBA world reacted. Let’s just say they called him crazy.

“I doubt they even make the play-in game, but if they do, they’ll definitely have to win and they will face Phoenix in the first round,” Shaq said. “If they make it to that eighth spot, they’ll beat Phoenix.”

Oh, we know a few people who won’t like any of this. Suns players are definitely frustrated. Shaq earned himself a few enemies within the Suns organization. How will Devin Booker react to this?

Shaq trusts great teams and the Lakers sure have his support. Yes, the team had some struggles in the regular season but the NBA icon trusts their potential. Pelinka has a lot of great players on his roster and they can definitely beat the Suns. Let’s just hope that everyone stays healthy and strong. It was a long season and players have a few more games on their schedule. Will they win these games? LeBron won’t let this opportunity slip down his hands.
