Anthony Davis Drops Big Claim With Lakers Season on Life Support

The Los Angeles Lakers have a terrible record and five games left on this point of the regular season. The team owns the 11th seed in the Western Conference. In other words, if the Lakers don’t win more games, they will definitely lose the chance to take part in the play-in tournament. The tournament was their last hope. It really is their last hope. Players lost too many games and sustained too many injuries. Anthony Davis didn’t play since February, but he really believes that his Lakers teammates can finish the season with a W.

The big man had to recover from a MCL strain. He works out with the team. Losing him to such a terrible injury was a big blow for the team. LeBron James missed a huge chunk of the regular season as well. These two didn’t even get enough time to play together.

Anthony Davis says the Lakers are ready to finish the season right

What’s next on the list? Will the Lakers make the playoffs this season?

“I think it’s a lot of belief,” said Davis. “We know what we’re fighting for. We know the position that we’re in. And we’re playing against top teams.

“I believe. I know this guy to my left [LeBron James] believes. Everyone in that locker room believes. We’ve got to go out and get it done. It’s that simple. We have to win these games. We’ve got to have that approach.”

We can definitely agree on this one. LeBron didn’t shut down the season when his team was on a long losing streak. His Lakers teammates will do their best to fix the damage and finish the regular season with a win. The worst part comes when you realize that LA will face serious contender in the next couple of weeks. Oh wait… Their season may be over on April 10.

It was a bad season for Lakers players and coaches. Frank Vogel may be fired. Russell Westbrook may leave the team, too. One thing stands for sure. Rob Pelinka will have to make some serious changes in the offseason.
