NBA Champion Criticizes Lakers for Anthony Davis ‘Mistake’

Anthony Davis helped the Los Angeles Lakers win a championship and he rarely made a mistake. He missed a lot of games due to his injuries and this was the only problem LA had regarding the big man.

Davis joined the Lakers at the right time. Rob Pelinka traded three players to get the big man. Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart had to leave the Lakers to make room for the big man.

The New Orleans Pelicans beat the Phoenix Suns and Festus Ezeli used the opportunity to criticize the Lakers for trading Ingram.

The Lakers got Davis to give LeBron a strong partner. Unfortunately, LeBron and Davis didn’t get much time to play together. They sustained serious injuries and missed too much time.

Ingram is playing his best basketball. He is averaging 22.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists for his team. AD is averaging 23.2 points and 9.9 rebounds.

Anthony Davis won’t make another mistake

Davis heard all the rumors about his departure from LA, but he is still confident about his game with LeBron. The Lakers finished a disappointing season and this failure has to motivate players to try harder next time.

“I think us two can. We’ve shown that we can,” Davis told Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “I don’t know that’s something we just have to reevaluate in the offseason, upstairs, me and him talking about this season and what we would like to see next season and kind of just figure it out.

“… [We will] come together as a group … to get back to championship mentality that we had our first year. So that would be a very interesting conversation just from the standpoint of what changed. I mean, injuries, but even when we were healthy, I don’t think we were able to reach our full potential — for whatever reason. So I think we want to figure it out and just get back to that championship pedigree that us as players know we’re capable of.”

Davis has plenty of time to prove doubters wrong. Let’s see what happens next season.
