Report: LeBron James’ Future With Lakers Likely Confirmed

The Los Angeles Lakers have to make some plans about the upcoming game. The 2021-22 NBA roster didn’t work really well and the team didn’t even make the play-in tournament. Well, there have been huge speculation about LeBron James and his future with the Lakers.

The four-time NBA champion will become a free agent in 2023. His oldest son, Bronny, is eligible to enter the league in the same year. Many interpreted this as a chance to leave LA and join whichever team signs Bronny. We all know that LeBron wants to play with his son. He won’t stay in the NBA forever, meaning he is likely to sign with pretty much every team in the league.

LeBron to design his future with the Lakers

The Lakers had too many struggles this season. LeBron is a winner and the Lakers didn’t win many games this past season. This may push him outside LA.

Grant Hughes from Bleacher Report believes LeBron will stay in LA.

“Everything would change if LeBron ever asked the Lakers to move him, but that’s just another illustration of how much sway he holds,” Hughes wrote. “Los Angeles would never trade James without his go-ahead. We’re dealing purely in hypotheticals here, but if James went to Lakers management and demanded Anthony Davis be shipped out of town, they’d have to at least consider it. Reverse that scenario to feature AD asking for James to be traded, and there’s no way it’d happen.

“James laid out the blueprint for NBA player autonomy, showing an entire league how to exercise power and influence over an organization. He calls the shots and won’t be going anywhere unless he decides it’s time to move.”

This makes sense. The Lakers snatched LeBron on the very first day of his free agency. Magic Johnson and Jeanie Buss signed him to a deal right away. Why would they let him go that easily? Of course, this may happen only if LeBron wants out.

King James likes LA and brought his business to the big city. Moving again doesn’t make too much sense.
