Patriots Bring In Trio of Veterans For Offseason Workouts

The New England Patriots have shown great interest in veterans and head coach Bill Belichick would gladly invite a few talented players for workouts. The team made some moves in the offseason. They didn’t sign superstars and didn’t even pull out blockbuster trades. Belichick did his thing. Patriots owner Robert Kraft wanted the team to select players who fit the system. Belichick did the best for the team and the results are here.

Trading for DeVante Parker seems like a good option for the Patriots. He is doing a wonderful job with the Patriots coaching staff. Parker will have to build a strong connection with his Patriots teammates. He and Mac Jones will do a lot of great things together. The 2022 NFL season is really important for him and every other player on the Patriots roster.

Patriots trust veterans and host a few players for workouts

Belichick is doing his best to gather the perfect special teams. He had a few holes on the roster and Patriots scouts are looking for the best alternatives. New England lost a few valuable players in free agency. Playing without them will be really hard, but Belichick has a backup option. Always.

According to several reports, the Patriots have worked out three kickers. Doug Kyed from Pro Football Focus was among the first to report this. He revealed that the Patriots have worked out Matthew Wright, Tristan Vizcaino, and John Baron.

The Patriots trusted Nick Folk for a really long time. He is an excellent kicker and Belichick preferred having him over other kickers. Folk did better than most players in the league. He did a wonderful job in 2021, doing 92.9% of his field-goal attempts.

To be honest, Folk won’t last forever. He will turn 38 in November. The Patriots may do an effort to get another kicker.

Nordin is super strong, but inconsistency is his biggest problem. He didn’t do better than Folk despite his great efforts. Will Belichick give him the top job in the upcoming season? There are so many rumors related to this position.
