Patriots Veteran Shares His Opinion On Mac Jones Very Clear

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick seems to have secured the future of his team. The Patriots lost Tom Brady a couple of seasons ago. He left the team to ink a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady left a big void on the Patriots roster and Belichick decided to bring a former MVP as a replacement. Cam Newton was great, but not great enough to keep his spot on the roster. Belichick made a move and selected a quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Patriots decided to trust Mac Jones and gave him the keys to the offense.

Jones seems to be a good fit for the Patriots. He led the team to a seven-game winning streak last season. Many believe that he is the quarterback of the future for New England. Jones impressed Patriots fans and yes, he will have another brilliant season.

Patriots expect the best from Mac Jones

The Patriots quarterback used his time off to bond with his teammates. Jones will be playing with a bunch of new names in 2022. Patriots players have nothing but great words for his performance. He is an excellent leader after all.

Veteran center David Andrews praised his younger teammate, saying that Jones is a “hard worker”. Belichick will definitely agree on this one.

“The kid’s a hard worker,” Andrews said. “He works his butt off, day in and day out. Sometimes I just try to get him to take a deep breath. But that’s what you want out of your quarterback. He works really hard. He’s a tough kid. It’s been fun for me the last year, year and a half, to get to know him. I’ve got a lot of respect for how he does things and how he carries himself.”

Jones will have to make a really big move in 2022. He is facing a big challenge. Doubters say he won’t take the Patriots to the Super Bowl next year. Well, we wouldn’t jump into conclusions. Jones is here to do his thing. He is a talented guy and doubters won’t stop him.
