Lakers Show Interest in $22 Million All-Star, $19 Million Wing & $13 Million Guard
The Los Angeles Lakers will soon add new names to their roster and Rob Pelinka should go after a multimillion wing and guard. The Lakers have been actively looking for trade partners and the Utah Jazz could be their best option.
Jeff Zillgitt from USA TODAY Sports reported that the Lakers could do an effort and get Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Jordan Clarkson.
The Lakes have some interest, I'm told, in the Jazz vets who could be traded (Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, Bojan Bogdanovic). But the Lakers also want to preserve cap space for next summer and aren't that interested in taking contracts beyond 2022-23. Bogdanovic on expiring.

Utah is rebuilding the roster and has already shipped several players to other teams. Conley, Bogdanovic, and Clarkson may be the next to go. Conley is set to earn $22.7 million in the upcoming season. Bogdanovic is getting $19.3 million and Clarkson will earn $13.3 million.
The Lakers could use another guard and wing
The Lakers have attracted the attention of many analysts. Sean Deveney from Heavy talked to a Western Conference executive and they discussed the team’s future draft picks. There are two potential trade prospects for the purple and gold.
“The two Lakers picks are the most powerful thing as far as picks go in the league right now,” the exec told Deveney. “Everyone expects them to be top picks, and if you can get them unprotected, everybody wants those. The Lakers only want to give up one and now you have to be thinking, if you’re the Lakers, OK, (Malik) Beasley, Bogdanovic and Jarred Vanderbilt for one of these picks and Russ?” Or, you know, Clarkson or Conley in there? You’re going to want three of those five players, give up Westbrook and only deal off one of the picks. Danny (Ainge) might get more picks if he sells those off individually but he is not going to get better picks, and that is the thing the Lakers have as an advantage.”
Pelinka didn’t want to give up on his future first-rounders, but he may change his mind sooner than expected. The Lakers could use the 2027 and 2029 picks to get players who can actually contribute on the basketball court.
The Lakers will make the right decision without any hesitation. They won’t get rid of Westbrook just because he struggled in the 2021-22 NBA season. They will only trade him if they find a solid trade partner.
