Gabe Vincent Gives Honest Opinion On Level Of Comfort With Lakers

Gabe Vincent is a new name for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he seems to be really comfortable with the whole concept. The talented player signed a three-year deal with the Lakers and will get about $33 million over three years. If you ask Vincent, he will say he is more than happy to be with the Lakers. ‘Growth’ is his middle name and it shows.

“More and more [comfortable] each day. More and more each day,” Vincent said October 11. “Getting to know each other, get to know how guys move, how guys play, know our offense a little bit. We’re starting to grow.”

In the 109-101 win over the Sacramento Kings, Vincent delivered 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting.

D’Angelo Russell was starting point guard and Vincent focused on his part of the game.

“Personally, just continue to grow,” he said. “Continue to get more connected with this group. Get more connected with my guys, and just keep building. We’re working towards something.”

Vincent can help the Lakers win

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham sees great potential in the current team. They have incredible chemistry and this could lead them to a big title this season. Vincent could get a new role with the team and Ham can play with different scenarios heading deep into the regular season.

“When teams go under our pick-&-rolls, or teams disrespect us from the perimeter, we have enough shooting that we believe we can go up there and knock them down with confidence and with a high clip,” LeBron James said on Spectrum SportsNet on October 9.

Vincent has great relationship with his teammates and Russell has nothing but respect for him. The newly-added player feels the same about Russell.

“He’s been great,” Vincent said about Russell. “DLo makes the game easy on everybody, you know what I mean? He pushes the pace, he gets guys in spots, makes the right read. He’s been playing really well at a high level.”
