Patriots Teammates Are ‘Garbage,’ Says ‘Source Close’ To QB Mac Jones

The New England Patriots have a hard time staying afloat and things can’t get better overnight. Everyone made mistakes, but Mac Jones may be placing the blame on some of his Patriots teammates. He didn’t actually say this, but people close to him made these remarks.

Henry McKenna discussed the whole situation in New England. He reported that sources close to the third-year quarterback made shocking remarks following Sunday’s blowout.

“No matter how good of (a) cook you are, you cannot make garbage taste good,” this person said. “Even if it was not Mac at QB, what QB would want to play here under these conditions?”

Jones was really successful in his first season with the Patriots. Yes, the team didn’t make the Super Bowl, but the Alabama quarterback threw for 3,801 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

Things didn’t go the way Patriots planned in Jones’ second year with the team. However, Jones is not the only one who made mistakes. The Patriots need to elevate their game in every aspect. If Jones isn’t happy with his current team, he may try to go somewhere else. He wasn’t happy with Matt Patricia as his offensive coordinator last season. He was really frustrated!

“I’m tired of it. You’re the leader of this team, you’re the quarterback. So, you can’t be frustrated every single week, every single play,” said two-time champ Vince Wilfork. “I don’t care if you’re getting the play called in late or whatever it may be. At the end of the day, you have to show some poise because when you operate the ship, you’re the head of the ship when you’re out there.”

Jones may have issues with his Patriots teammates, but also takes responsibility for the messy season

Jones did accept some responsibility for the poor game this season. He was really honest about it.

“Like I said earlier, just trying to do better as an offense. You know, we didn’t score any points,” Jones said. “So that’s the important part, is scoring points and executing your job. And I try to just execute my job.”

The NFL world believes that Jones is not the right leader for the team. Howie Long from Fox Sports is one of them. He insists that Jones is not capable of leading his own team.

“Listen,” Long said, “they’re struggling. Today was really a—I think, at quarterback, I don’t believe that Mac Jones is the guy. And I think we can kind of agree on that. I think they’re probably coming to that conclusion in New England.”
