Bill Belichick Was Asked If Patriots Will Add Outside Quarterback

The New England Patriots doesn’t seem to be any near to finding a solution to their quarterback issue. The team lost Tom Brady a few seasons ago and replacing him turned out to be a big challenge. Head coach Bill Belichick tried several options and even wasted a top pick to get one of the better quarterback prospects in the class. Mac Jones looked like someone who could become the Patriots’ franchise quarterback, but he didn’t meet expectations. Will the Patriots add another quarterback to replace him?

The Alabama quarterback had great performance in his debut with the Patriots. However, things took a wrong turn and Jones could be on his way out of New England.

Patriots players have won just two games so far in the season. Their season may be doomed, but they do have a chance to grab a good pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. NFL reporters showed great interest in Belichick’s next move. Will he even be here to make the next move? Absolutely. The Patriots may have another bad season, but Robert Kraft has a few good reasons to keep the legendary coach in his organization.

Patriots could still add a new quarterback

In his session with the media, Belichick talked about the loss to the Giants and obviously, most of the questions were related to Jones and the quarterback positions.

“I don’t really see that right now, but I mean, I wouldn’t rule anything out, anything that would help our team,” Belichick said when asked if he will add another quarterback to his roster. “We’ve brought in players at any position. You never know what’s going to happen. If I think there’s somebody, if our pro scouting department thinks there is somebody that would help us, we’ll certainly listen to it and take a look at it, at any position. It’s not really about the quarterback position. It would really be any position. I don’t know. Nobody that comes to mind, but we’ll see.”

His lengthy response didn’t even answer our questions.
