LeBron James Addresses Last 2-Minute Report From Lakers Loss To Heat

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a 108-107 loss to the Miami Heat and LeBron James wasn’t really happy with how things turned out. The four-time NBA champion voiced his concerns about the officiating during the game and his missed fouls. He finished the night with 30 points, four rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and one steal.

The Lakers complained about the outcome and even notified the league office, sending videos of the game. Nothing changed as the Last 2-Minute report came back clean. This outcome wasn’t acceptable for both LeBron and the Lakers front office.

“The game isn’t won or lost in the last 2 mins,” LeBron posted on X on November 7. “If you know the game things happen throughout the 1st, 2nd. 3rd and first 10 mins of 4th that has MAJOR impact on outcomes.”

LeBron and the Lakers could have more free throws in loss vs Heat

Dave McMenamin from ESPN shared his take on the situation. He cited several sources about the issues LA pointed out to, in reference to all the contacts referees “missed” during the game.

“The Lakers’ main point of contention is how LeBron James was officiated, according to sources,” wrote McMenamin on November 7. “The Lakers shared various clips showing what they believe to be clear illegal contact by Heat defenders against James that went unnoticed by the referees.”

LeBron was loud and clear about the officiating and blamed referees for not being consistent.

“The explanations of what they’re telling me are not consistent with what’s actually happening on the floor,” he said via House of Highlights on November 6.

Records show that LeBron records less free throw attempts as a Laker than ever before. In the loss to the Heat, he had just four free throws.

LeBron won two rings as a Heat player, but he was a dominant force with each team he played on. His time in Miami didn’t impact his game at all.

“You damn right I would still be,” the Laker posted on X. “I’m CHOSEN! Ain’t nothing changing that! Maybe less [rings] but DOMINANT from start to finish.”

LeBron and the Lakers may have lost the game, but they still have a chance to fix the damage.
