LeBron James Makes Eye-Opening Comparison For Lakers: ‘We’re Like The Steelers’

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers suffered a terrible loss to the Orlando Magic. It was a big blow for the team and a motivation to do better next time they hit the basketball court. It won’t be that hard because LeBron is surrounded by great players. What went wrong in the loss vs. Magic? If you ask LeBron, he will say that the Lakers are actually the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NBA.

It was a simple comment LeBron made following the loss. His team couldn’t handle the Magic throughout the entire game. Yes, Lakers players did put up a fight in the final quarter of the game, but the damage was already done. It was an exhausting 120-101 loss and a big lesson for the purple and gold. Head coach Darvin Ham has to adjust the offense and make all the necessary changes to make it work.

“We’re like the Pittsburgh Steelers right now. The Pittsburgh Steelers right now have not out-gained or out-scored any of their opponents in this season right now and yet they’ve got a winning record,” LeBron told the media following the game.

LeBron and the Lakers offense could do better than the Steelers

The Lakers are ranked in the bottom half of the NBA in scoring. They have a 111.8 average in points and rank 16th. LA has to do better to match teams in the top 10 and get better averages.

LeBron made a good remark. His team may be struggling on the offensive part of the game, but the Lakers are 3-3 at this point of the season. They rank eight in the West and have a chance to make the top. Let’s not forget that LA has already defeated the Phoenix Suns, Magic, and their city rivals.

Also, we’d add that the Steelers have a terrible offense and rank 29th in points per game (16.6). Believe it or not, they are second in the AFC North and have a 5-3 record. Does this make sense? Of course it does.
