NFL Insider Says Bill Belichick Potential Replacement Won’t Be Traded Or Fired

The New England Patriots are looking for ways to improve their current situation, but they can’t do much at this point. Head coach Bill Belichick is in the hot seat again and some say he will be fired after the regular season. The Patriots had a chance to get several coaches who may replace coach B. Is that even possible?

Mike Vrabel from the Tennessee Titans was a top option for Belichick’s position. However, Tennessee won’t let him go that easily.

Diana Russini from The Athletic has more on Vrabel’s situation with the Titans.

“Frustrated New England Patriots fans can stop hoping owner Robert Kraft will trade with Tennessee and replace head coach Bill Belichick with his former player Mike Vrabel. It’s not happening.”

According to Russini, “based on multiple conversations with high-ranking Titans officials, the franchise strongly and collectively believes it has the right coach for long-term success.”

Will Belichick be fired?

The Titans will keep Vrabel at his position despite their current record. Russini added that, “based on multiple conversations with high-ranking Titans officials, the franchise strongly and collectively believes it has the right coach for long-term success.”

Who started this rumor? It was probably fans who saw the Titans boss seating next to Kraft in Week 7.

Ben Volin from The Boston Globe added that sources close to the Kraft family feel like Vrabel is Kraft’s “home run” replacement for Belichick. Volin also noted that Vrabel would cost any team at least one first-rounder. The Patriots cannot afford this as they need top picks to rebuild their roster in the future.

So, Vrabel is no longer an option for Robert Kraft. Well, we don’t even know if the Patriots owner is willing to trade the legendary head coach.

If Vrabel doesn’t join the Patriots as their head coach, Ben Johnson from the Detroit Lions could be the person to get the job. He did great job with Jared Hoff. His success as an offensive coordinator could land him a good head coaching gig.
