Anthony Davis Gives Victor Wembanyama Brutal ‘Welcome To The NBA’ Moment

The Los Angeles Lakers had quite a game against the San Antonio Spurs. They went full force against their opponents and some players will remember the night throughout their entire career. Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama got an unpleasant surprise from Lakers big man Anthony Davis and this is all you need to know about the game.

Wembanyama may be having a great performance with his team, but NBA veterans are here to teach him a lesson. He will have to get used to this. All rookies go through the same “procedure”. Let’s just call it a “welcome to the NBA” moment. These moments are actually embarrassing for most rookies.

The Spurs rookie got his “moment” in the second quarter of the game against the Lakers. AD isolated on the left wing against Wembanyama, went to the paint, jumped and delivered a precious dunk right over Wembanyama. A lesson well learned, right? The Spurs were well behind the Lakers and this dunk seem to have sealed their win.

Davis warns Wembanyama and the rest of the NBA

Davis looks healthy and ready to win. A dominant Davis has been helping the Lakers win games and he was a real star in the In-Season Tournament. He was brilliant in the win over the Indiana Pacers, delivering a double-double. AD finished the night with 41 points, 20 rebounds, and five assists.

The Lakers look good in the regular season and most of their players understood the assignment. Yes, they did lose the game against the Dallas Mavericks, but players scored great stats. AD had 37 points and 11 assists in the game. In addition to his dunk over Wembanyama, AD scored 26 points and 10 rebounds in the win over the Spurs. So, yes, he sort of got used to these double-doubles. The Lakers will need more of this to make the NBA Finals this season.

There’s a growing trade speculation surrounding the Lakers and Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls. In other words, the front office may be gearing up for a trade.
