Anthony Davis Monster Game Reminds LeBron James Of A Lakers Icon

Anthony Davis may be the best teammate LeBron James has ever had. These two make the most dangerous duo on the NBA floor and they both send a clear warning to their opponents each and every night they play. LeBron has nothing but great words for his Lakers teammate and even said that Davis reminds him of Shaquille O’Neal.

The Lakers big man was brilliant in the NBA In-Season Tournament. Davis helped the Lakers win the inaugural NBA Cup Championship. His 41 points stole the show, and Davis didn’t mind throwing another 20 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks in.

“Absolutely, that was a Shaq-like dominant performance,” LeBron said after the 123-109 win over the Indiana Pacers. “And we had the big fella (O’Neal) sitting down there by our bench. So, I think [Davis] was inspired. … AD was just dominant. Big time [performance]!”

It was a good night for every Lakers player and Shaq was there to watch it all. NBA analysts claim Shaq is the last dominant Lakers center before AD. Shaq helped the Lakers win three titles and was also named NBA Finals MVP in each of the title wins.

LeBron and Davis do their best to win a title with the Lakers

Davis enjoyed his game and the fact that he played his best basketball that night. He said that his teammates were of great help in the game.

“I just try to do everything I can to win a basketball game,” Davis told the media after the game. “Obviously, my teammates put me in a great position to be successful. Obviously, this is special for us, just winning the inaugural In-Season Tournament.

“But we want to also win the same thing in June. It’s a step in the right direction, obviously, but even though it’s a big performance, it’s another game and we’ve got to continue to get going starting back on Tuesday.”

The Lakers traded a big chunk of their roster to get Davis. It was one of the best decisions they made in the last few seasons. Now is the perfect time to win a title, right?
