Bill Belichick Takes Surprising Step Closer To Potential Falcons Coaching Gig

The New England Patriots let Bill Belichick go and he may soon join the Atlanta Falcons as their head coach. Recent reports confirm that Belichick has already talked to the Falcons. Will they offer him a good deal?

Belichick’s interview with the Falcons went well and fans were not too surprised to hear that he actually met Atlanta team owner Arthur Blank.

Tom Pelissero from NFL Network reported that Belichick has yet to agree to a new deal with the Falcons. He did note that the new scenario makes perfect sense for him.

The Falcons are looking for the best head coach on the market right now. They have also talked to Mike Macdonald, Steve Wils, Brian Callahan, Ejiro Evero, and Anthony Weaver.

“I have been told they will have strong interest in Bill Belichick if, as most seem to expect, he and the Patriots part ways,” Dan Graziano from ESPN reported before Belichick parted ways with the Patriots.. “I’ve also been told people close to Belichick believe it would be a good fit for him. It’s a strong roster that, yes, needs to figure out the quarterback position. It’s in a relatively calm market where he could be all about the football. And he’d have a team owner who doesn’t meddle in day-to-day affairs. Interesting idea, should Belichick and the Patriots split here in the next couple of days.”

Belichick to join the Falcons?

Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski likes the idea. He can already see Belichick coach the Falcons in 2024. According to him, Belichick has a lot to offer at this point. He is the GOAT among all coaches.

He’s coming back with vengeance. And I’ve been hearing on the streets the Atlanta Falcons are coming in hot for Coach Belichick,” Gronk added.

Belichick is the best to ever coach the game and he is sure getting some great offers from NFL teams. Where is he going next? The Dallas Cowboys may be the perfect landing spot for Belichick.
