LeBron James Reacts To Historic Performance In Double-OT Classic Vs. Stephen Curry, Warriors

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers beat Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. It was a great win for the purple and gold despite the fact that they took it in overtime.

The four-time NBA champion hit another career-high in the 145-144 win. LeBron’s 20 rebounds made him the first Lakers player to deliver a 30-20-10 triple-double since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did it in 1976.

All Lakers players had great game. In 45 minutes on the floor, Anthony Davis scored 29 points and 13 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell did 29 points in 49 minutes. Austin Reaves played 47 minutes and scored 17 points and six assists. Jarred Vanderbilt scored 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham had great words for LeBron and praised the fact that he sets a new standard every time he makes the floor.

“Setting new standards,” Ham said. “Just phenomenal.”

“I’m very thankful that I get to coach him,” added Ham. “Two legends going back and forth, two great organizations. It was fun to be a part of. It’s just one of those wins that showed our character. Our group is really coming together.”

LeBron and Lakers teammates have great respect for Curry

Curry had a great night as well. He scored 46 points and gave the Lakers a really hard time. Well, he and LeBron enjoy going after one another.

“How does it keep getting better?” LeBron asked his rival after the final buzzer.

Curry is making headlines with his performance again and Lakers players didn’t underestimate his dominance.

“He’s a Hall of Famer, man. The greatest shooter to ever play the game,” AD said about Curry. “You always have to be on high alert when he has the ball and when he don’t have the ball. Just a fun basketball game.”

These games will make history for a really good reason. LeBron remembers every minute of his games against the Warriors. These two sure know how to put on a show.

“It’s something I’ll be able to talk about with my grandkids, being able to compete with one of the greatest players to ever play the game,” LeBron said about playing Curry. “So hopefully I can be cool with my grandkids at that point.”
