Insider Predicts LeBron James’ Offseason Move That Affects Lakers’ Future

LeBron James knows how to make people talk and NBA analysts are now focused on his offseason move. The four-time NBA champion hasn’t said much about his future plans, but most analysts believe that it’s related to his oldest son.

Brian Windhorst from ESPN delivered a really big prediction for LeBron. According to him, the king of basketball will opt out of his player option for the upcoming season and sign another deal with the Lakers.

“LeBron can opt out of his contract this summer which I think he will do for two reasons: one, he can get a multi-year contract that averages 50-plus million a year regardless of how long he wants to play,” Windhorst said on “Get Up” on ESPN on February 27. “I think he’s going to want to do that. And this is important, he doesn’t have a no-trade clause right now which is why all of a sudden there was this chatter about him at the trade deadline.

“If he opts out of his contract and signs a new one, even if it’s just for two years, he can install a no-trade clause to get that out of the way. So, I expect regardless of Bronny [NBA draft decision], regardless of the Lakers’ finish, it’s probable he’ll opt out of that contract even if it’s just to re-sign with the Lakers.”

LeBron has to make a big decision in the offseason

LeBron has dropped some hints about his next move, but fans still struggle to figure it out. Age has nothing on him, but he will have to retire at some point. The Lakers superstar averages 25.0 points, 7.9 assists, and 7.2 rebounds with the team this season.

The Lakers won’t let him go that easily, but LeBron may decide to leave the franchise and sign with whatever team signs Bronny.

We can only make wild guesses at this point, but we do know that LeBron will make the right choice.
