Steph Curry Downplays Lakers-Warriors LeBron James Trade Rumor

There’s a growing speculation about a potential trade deal between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors. Will LeBron James ever get to sign with the Warriors and play alongside Stephen Curry? The four-time NBA champion did say that he’d love to play with Curry one day.

Curry and the Warriors played against the Los Angeles Clippers on Valentine’s Day. It was a big game and reporters still found a way to talk about the chance to see LeBron join the Golden State.

“I’m never surprised [about our team inquiring],” the Warriors superstar told the media. “It’s always a surprise that stuff like that gets out because I’m assuming that every team is making calls that if every fan or every fan base or media group would know about, it would maybe normalize the conversations that happen in the front office, especially around the trade deadline when you’re exploring around the league who’s available, who’s not and gauging interest on that. So, obviously, a guy like Bron who you would probably call just to see [if he’s available]. I don’t know what the depths of those conversations were but that was a nice little surprise this [Wednesday] morning for sure.”

ESPN reported that there was a conversation between Jeanie Buss and Joe Lacob, but it ended before they even reached a deal.

The Lakers won’t trade LeBron to the Warriors, letting him team up with Curry is a dangerous game

LeBron and Curry would do the unthinkable on the basketball court. They would make one of the best duos in league history. Both players show great dominance every time they make the floor. Their rivalry has been making headlines for a really long time. Imagine the headlines after an eventual team-up!

King James sat out yet another game, giving Rui Hachimura a chance to play his best basketball. The latter delivered 36 points and LA celebrated a 138-122 win over the Utah Jazz. It was a third straight win for the purple and gold. So, LA is winning without LeBron. Will they even consider letting him go?
