Watch: Tom Brady Hits Julian Edelman On First Play Of The Match

Julian Edelman is back in the game, and he came back with a style.

The Patriots tight end arrived on time for the team’s Week 5 contest against the Indianapolis Colts. His absence was felt throughout the four games of the season, and the Patriots could not wait for him to come back. Edelman had his first play of the Patriots’ Thursday Night Football Contest with the Colts.

Quarterback Tom Brady fired an awesome nine-yard strike to the wide out, and that was more than a welcome for the 2018 season.

Edelman was suspended for the first month of the season after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. He was out of the game for too long. The wide out had a torn ACL and missed the entire 2017 season, and then was hit with a suspension. When was the last time Edelman played with the team? It’s the Patriots win over the Falcons in Super Bowl LI. Wow.

Brady said he does not have problem playing with Edelman again. They have been playing on the same team for quite some time, and the wide out did not need much time to get back in shape. Brady is not worried about Edelman’s return, and he could not hide his excitement about the game and the wide out.

“I think we’ve played so much football together. I really have no doubt where he’s going to be at, what he’s capable of. He’s been a great player for our team. I think everyone’s excited to have him back, and anytime you add great players, it’s going to help what we’re doing. We all welcome him back and he’s excited, ready to go and hopefully he can go out and play great,” Brady said of the wide out.

Keep up the good job, Edelman, and welcome back!
