LeBron James Broke His Silence About Kyrie Irving Not Wanting To Play With Him

The Kyrie Irving trade was making headlines for too long, and it seems like he did not want to play alongside LeBron James. Irving did not want to play in a team that is centered around one single star.

But, LeBron did not see things this way. He did his best to give Irving everything he could.

That’s not my problem. If that’s the case, that’s definitely not my problem. I never felt like I didn’t want to play with him. The only thing I tried to do is give him whatever I could and more,” LeBron told Jason Lloyd from The Athletic.

Irving was unwilling to play another year in the shadow of the king. There was a huge trade deal between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. So, yes, Irving got a chance to be a star. The Cavs got Isiah Thomas.
Thomas struggled with an injury, and the team did not have much luck with his trade.

“I think by the time it got to me he wanted to be traded, I think he was already gone. He was already gone and it was up to the organization to do their job and try to keep him as well. The guy still had two years left on his contract. They didn’t have to give him up. It could’ve been repaired then. Bring him in, let’s see what happens. I don’t think his stock drops if he still comes to Cleveland, see what happens and at the trade deadline you could still do it then,” LeBron said of Irving.

The Cavs defeated the Boston Celtics last season, but had zero chance against the Golden State. Let’s see how will things work for Irving this year. The departure of Kyrie marked the beginning of the end for the Cavs.
