Report: Patriots Gave Update On Sony Michel’s Status For Week 9 Game

The New England Patriots are about to play their biggest game this season. Confronting the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers will not be easy, but the team is fit for their challenge. Sony Michel was limited in practice, but seems to be ready to hit the field.

Sony Michel was limited in the practice this week and also missed the Monday’s contest against the Buffalo Bills. He suffered a knee injury in Week 7, but his MRI showed that there is not any structural damage to his knee. This came as a relief for the team, and Michel said he was ready to hit the field.

“I feel pretty good. Just been working hard and trying to get back on the field,” he said. Zax Cox of NESN.com reported that Michel hopes to play in Week 9. “If it was up to me, for these teammates, I would do whatever it takes. I am around a great group of guys so I would do anything for these guys. If I had one leg, I’d still be out there trying to fight for these guys,” Michel said.

Michel was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, and we do not have any info whether he was a full participant in Friday’s session. We are expecting more details within a few hours, after New England releases its final injury report. Will Michel carry a questionable designation into the following days?

Michel said he would definitely play if the decision is on him, but the coaching staff will have to drop the final word on his status. “It all depends on coach and his decision, whatever that is,” Michel added.

If Michel does not participate or is limited in the Week 9, Cordarrelle Patterson and James White will use the benefits from their action on the ground.
