NFL Media Reacts To Patriots Falling To Steelers

The New England Patriots have not really recovered from their lost to the Miami Dolphins. Tom Brady and his teammates lost the Sunday game against the Steelers, and failed to add another win to the chart. The quarterback had the ball in his hands and a great chance to tie the game and get over time, but that fourth down pass was incomplete, and Pittsburgh won the game. The NFL media did not even miss a detail of the game.

The Patriots lost another chance to claim the AFC East. But, they are getting another chance next week. The team had a sluggish performance, and they are in high risk of not having a first round bye. What does the NFL media say about this?

Tom Brady and the Patriots offense did a really good job at the beginning of the game as Chris Hogan was perfectly open for the score. Hogan was quiet this year, but this is something he needed before hitting free agency.

“On Tom Brady & Chris Hogan’s 63-yard TD,Hogan had 19.2 yards of separation from the nearest defender at the time of catch, the most wide open a receiver has been on any pass of the last two seasons.”

New England special teams did a really good job to, and the media could not ignore that. Jonathan Jones brought the ball in the air, and Rex Burkhead brought it back out of the end zone, and eventually it was downed.

The Steelers were really lucky and played well. Antonio Brown managed to bring the Steelers back in the lead. He finished the game with four catches for 49 yards and a score.

New England tried to run a fire-drill fake out on the Steelers in order to kill the clock. After the first down was called back, the Patriots faked going for it on first down, and the Pittsburgh was out of the position. The offense dashed off the field and the punt team booted it down field to seal the half.
