Tom Brady Broke His Silence On Suggestion Rob Gronkowski Isn’t Same Player

Almost every expert in the league has noticed the decline in the performance of tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronk’s numbers went low this year, but that does not mean a thing for head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady.

Everyone changes as you gain experience. I have a tremendous amount of confidence in Gronk in everything that he does, so I think so highly of him as a player, a person. He brings a lot to our team. When he’s out there, he’s a threat. I’m certainly looking for him. The more we get him the ball, the better our offense is,” Brady said of Gronkowski during his appearance on WEEI’s Mut and Callahan.

Gronkowski is an excellent run blocker and pass protector, and fans view him as one of the greatest tight ends in the league. Some swear he is the ultimate tight end. However, Gronk does not play at the same pace this season. He missed a few games, and marks 45 receptions for 658 yards and three touchdowns. You cannot just ignore his career-low 54.8 yards per game. That’s the lowest pace since Gronk’s rookie season.

Head coach Bill Belichick had the best response to the Gronk question he got on Wednesday. That’s just a typical Belichick response. “What shows up for us on the stat sheet is wins and losses… Rob’s a great team player,” the head coach said. You saw that coming, right?

Gronkowski is well aware that he is not playing his best football this season, and promised to work hard. Taking care of his physical condition is the first thing he has to pay attention to, and we really hope that his injuries will not strike again. Gronk has been having problems with his back, but feels fine at the moment. Keep up the good job, Gronk!
