Danny Amendola Interested In Rejoining Patriots After Dolphins Release

Everyone is going to New England. The New England Patriots are super busy at the moment, and it looks like many players would gladly rejoin the team. The Patriots won this year’s Super Bowl, and we have at least three players expressing their desire to return to Foxboro. Danny Amendola is one of them.

The Patriots will need a wide receiver this offseason, and Danny Amendola has just become a free agent. The Miami Dolphins released Amendola with one year remaining of his two-year contract worth $12 million. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport confirmed the info. He tweeted, “After many discussions with Danny Amendola & his agent to try and keep him in Miami both sides decided to part ways, I’m told. Now, he’s free.”

Amendola had a respectable season in Miami, and led the team in catches and receiving yards. He is now looking for a job, and fans are already cheering on his reunion with the Patriots. Seeing him in Foxboro sure makes sense at the moment. The Patriots like him, too.

I love Danny,” head coach Bill Belichick said last offseason. “He did a great job for us. Great competitor. Played a lot of different roles. Tremendous person. I wish him well in the opportunity he has, other than the times we play him. I love everything that Danny brought to the team in the five years he was with us.”

Brady was happy for his success. “I’m happy for those guys. Usually when you leave it’s because you get good opportunities in other places. I’m generally frustrated about football in general because it’s a frustrating sport. I’m certainly happy for guys when they do well.”

So, this would be an awesome reunion, and the Patriots nation can’t wait for it to happen. Will Bill Belichick take Amendola back?
