Julian Edelman Has 3-Word Message About Gronkowski After Announcing Retirement

The Patriots nation says ‘goodbye’ as tight end Rob Gronkowski decided to retire. His teammate, receiver Julian Edelman, took to his Instagram account to express his opinion on Gronk’s retirement.

Edelman went far enough to call Gronk “the other GOAT.” It may be short, but it’s definitely an emotional ‘goodbye’ for his beloved teammate.

Gronk and Edelman have been supporting each other throughout their seasons in New England. The tight end supported Jules when the receiver was hit with four-game suspension.

“Mistakes do happen. I’ve made plenty of mistakes in my life, so I just got to learn from them. It’s just a situation that we hope for the best,” Gronkowski said.

Gronkowski’s retirement came like a surprise. We can’t say we didn’t see it coming, but almost every fan hoped to have him around in 2019. The Patriots won the Super Bowl, and Gronkowski was probably dreaming of sealing his football career with a Lombardi Trophy. Will he change his mind? I don’t think so. He did a really good thinking, and didn’t say a word until today. His agent didn’t spil a word about the decision, and Gronk was definitely really careful here. The only thing we can do at the moment is wish him luck.

“The people I have meet, the relationships I have built, the championships I have been apart of, I just want to thank the whole New England Patriots organization for every opportunity I have been giving and learning the great values of life that I can apply to mine,” he wrote in his Instagram post. “Thank you to all of Pats Nation around the world for the incredible support since I have been apart of this 1st class organization. Thank you for everyone accepting who I am and the dedication I have put into my work to be the best player I could be.”
