Aqib Talib Sends Groundbreaking Message To Jerod Mayo Who Joined Patriots Coaching Staff

The New England Patriots decided to play smart with their coaching stuff, and bringing Jerod Mayo in was the perfect decision. Hiring a familiar face is pure logic for the Patriots, and the former linebacker will do his job as linebackers coach.

Jerod Mayo retired after the 2015 campaign. He will join head coach Bill Belichick and the rest of the crew. His former teammates aren’t really surprised by this as it was an inevitable part of his career.

Aqib Talib was among the first to congratulate Mayo on his new position in New England. He wrote, “Dope!!! Let me coach yo DBs in a couple years when you head coach!!!”

Mayo took to his Instagram account to reveal the big news and confirm any of the rumors floating around. He is joining his family, and seems like there are a few unfinished things in his career.

“Dear Friends, Family and Patriots Nation,” he wrote on Instagram. “It is with great excitement, passion, and sense of purpose to share with you that I have accepted Coach Belichick’s offer to rejoin the New England Patriots as a Coach. I am eager to get started and work hard alongside so many of my former coaches and teammates, all who I know to be solely focused on maintaining the winning culture we have come to know as the Patriot Way. I want to thank my loved ones, The Kraft Family, Bill Belichick and most importantly my wife Chantel and our four children, for their constant support as we enter this exciting new chapter of our lives. LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! #lfg #i’mback #unfinishedbusiness #patriots.”

The New England Patriots finished their 2018 campaign with a championship win, and that’s a huge motivation for the upcoming season. But, they will have to win the next one without Rob Gronkowski.
