Trent Brown Gives Emotional Goodbye To Patriots After Joining Raiders

Trent Brown signed a massive contract with the Oakland Raiders and knew it was time to say ‘goodbye’ to the New England Patriots.

After his decision to ink a deal with the Raiders, Trent Brown wrote and release a video letter to the Patriots as shown on Uninterrupted. The player thanked Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and Dante Scarnecchia, and had words of praise for his teammates.

“Dear Patriots Nation,” Brown writes. “You probably heard already, but I signed with the Raiders this season. Although my time in New England was short, I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Everyone plays this game to win and to go out in my first with a team and win a Super Bowl is the best feeling.

“Thank you to the Patriots organization for believing in me. Thank you to the best coach, Bill Belichick, and of course the GOAT, Tom Brady. Thank you to my favorite, the GOAT, coach Scar. It was an honor being a part of that o-line group in New England. By far the greatest room I’ve ever been a part of. You guys will forever be my brothers. I love y’all. We did our jobs and we’re world champs and no one can ever take that away from us.

“As coach B would say, on to Oakland.”

Brown had some really great time with the Patriots, and he was well aware of everything that was happening in the season, including the terrible rumors and criticism.

“Of course I knew you got a chance to win here,” Brown said earlier in the season. “But another thing that popped into my mind was all the bullcrap that people say about this place. I’ve always been a man that forms my own opinions, and when I got here, I quickly found out that it’s nothing like anybody says. It is fun here. I think the guys in the locker room enjoy each other. Everybody in the facility enjoys each other, and we go out there and play for each other every time we touch the field. There’s no selfishness in the locker room. There’s no egos. It’s just one.”
