NBA Expert Makes Bold Statement On LeBron’s Playoff Failure

NBA expert Chris Broussard made a few comments on LeBron James after the star was shut down for the remainder of the season.

According to Broussard, LeBron has to improve his free-throw shooting and his post game ahead of the upcoming season.

Did he just compare LeBron and Michael Jordan? It may not be the best thing to do.

“I expect LeBron to look great next season. Obviously he’s a competitor,” Broussard said on Fox Sports’ First Things First. “The last time he was challenged like this – and he’s caught more heat since 2011 when he lost in Miami to Dallas – he came back after the offseason with a career high field goal percentage, career high three point percentage, MVP, first championship. He has had his leadership and his commitment questioned. I love that when he’s doing Space Jam he will have a court built on set. Which reminds you of Michael Jordan. Jordan was at a similar crossroads. People were saying he’s not the same. He comes back and starts another three peat. I want LeBron to do that.

“Jordan added the fadeaway jumper and he already had a really good post game, but it became a phenomenal post game. I would like LeBron to hone in on 2 things: free throws and his post game. He should be destroying people in the post. Nobody can stop him one-on-one and if you double him, he can pick you apart with the pass.”

LeBron was vocal on his summer plans after it became clear that the Lakers will miss the playoffs.

“I like being uncomfortable in the offseason,” he said. “I like being counted out. It motivates me. I’ve had basically the same offseason training regimen the last eight years. I knew how long I wanted to rest for the season on a short timeline. I’m figuring out now how to get as much as I can out of two months of extra time for training. It requires a totally different strategy. We’re looking at it in an entirely new way.”

Will LeBron respond to the comments Broussard made? Let’s wait and find out.
