Ex-Patriot Cordarrelle Patterson Boldly Claims Winning the Super Bowl Was Meaningless to Him (Video)

Being part of the Super Bowl winning team is one of the greatest things ever, but some players aren’t really thrilled about that. Is Cordarelle Patterson one of them?

Of course. The former Patriots wideout doesn’t go crazy after his Super Bowl ring, and he even told Redline Media that winning the Lombardi Trophy “doesn’t mean s***.”

We believe that his former teammates won’t be really happy to hear this. They had really high opinion of Patterson, and hearing him talk this way is so bad.

Quarterback Tom Brady liked his teammate, but he will probably be disappointed.

“He’s been great – great attitude, great teammate,” TB12 said. “What we’ve asked him to do, both as a receiver, returner and then play running back at different times – he’s just a great football player. I think however he can impact the team – gaining yards whether it’s the kick game, pass game, run game – he’s willing to do it.

“We gave him the ball, he tried to jump over the top of the line of scrimmage last week on the goal line which was a great play, was really close to getting in but just a little short. He’s just been a great player, great influence for the locker room, just a great, positive person. He has a lot of fun and loves playing football.

“He’s done an incredible job and so much of our team is guys being in roles that maybe they didn’t sign up for that particular role, but they’re asked to do it because injuries and attrition. You know, we’ve been at this for nine games plus four preseason games – 13 – plus two weeks of camp – 15 weeks. A lot of guys go down and you’re short at certain spots. Obviously, we have a lot of trust in him that when he’s got the ball in his hands, good things are going to happen. So, it ended it up being a great game for him. He played his butt off.”

James White likes Patterson, too.

“He’s a strong, fast, explosive guy,” White said. “He can score any time he touches the football and he’s been trying to get better and better at it each week. The more he does it, the better he gets. He’s just doing whatever he can to help this team win. He’s running hard, he had some big plays for us, right before halftime and everything and we got a touchdown. So he’s been giving us a big help.”

Patterson plans to join the Chicago Bears next season. We believe that he may need to win another ring to understand its importance. Patterson caught two passes and rushed the football twice in the big game in Atlanta.
