Stephen A. Smith Thinks LeBron James Is Going To Be a ‘Monster’ Next Season

LeBron James is entering his second season with the Los Angeles Lakers, and it looks like the superstar small forward will be a “monster” this season. That’s what Stephen A. Smith says.

LeBron missed the playoffs last season for the first time since his second season in the league during his first sting with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The four-time MVP and three-time champion had a terrible groin injury on Christmas Day in the game against the Golden State Warriors. This injury kept him sidelined for 17 consecutive games. The team was 6-11 during that period, and missing the playoffs was more than expected.

King James has been the greatest player in the NBA, and he won’t change that. He missed the postseason last season, and a lot of analysts said that Kawhi Leonard is better than him.

Stephen A. Ssmith says these rumors and the rest LeBron got will help him going for a title in the upcoming season.

“LeBron, 6-9, 260, oh by the way, first time hasn’t been in the Finals in nine years,” Smith said on ESPN’s First Take. “Now he got off in April, people talkin’ smack about him. I think LeBron gonna be a monster this year.”

LeBron averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists in his first season with the team. These numbers are lower than his usual values, but LeBron will go tougher this time.

Anthony Davis and a bunch of other players joined the franchise this summer. Having Davis on the floor is a big deal for the team, and he is a perfect fit for the game. The New Orleans Pelicans didn’t want to let him go, but Jeanie Buss made a good offer, and the deal was sealed.

Chris B. Haynes says that Davis and LeBron will make a good game this season.

“I think Anthony Davis is going to lead the Lakers in scoring,” Haynes predicts. “But I think just from an all-around standpoint, leadership, determination, I think LeBron is going to bring it this season. I’m serious about that.”

Let’s see how will the Lakers play this time.
