Patriots Release Inactive Player List For Game Vs. Bills

The New England Patriots are playing their Week 4 game against the Buffalo Bills. They are healthy and almost every player will take the field against the Bills. Well, the team has released the inactive player list, and one player is definitely out for the game.

Dont’a Hightower suffered a shoulder injury and he didn’t pass the pregame test. He did pregame sprints with a few players who will be inactive for the Week 4 game.

Rookie running back Damien Harris, rookie cornerback Joejuan Williams, quarterback Cody Kessler, defensive tackle Byron Cowart and offensive tackle Korey Cunningham worked out with Hightower.

Hightower plays inside and outside linebacker. His role will be taken by a combination of several players, including Kyle Van Noy, Jamie Collins, Elandon Roberts, Ja’Whaun Bentley, Shilique Calhoun, John Simon and Chase Winovich.

Defensive end Michael Bennet and Deatrich Wise will have bigger responsibility now with Hightower out.

Offensive tackle Caleb Benenoch is added to the inactive list.

According to Gregg Rosenthal, the Patriots will win this game.

“The Patriots’ offense is also quietly looking for stability. The team’s makeshift offensive line has struggled in the running game, especially with veteran Shaq Mason starting the year in a slump. Receiver Phillip Dorsett (92.9 percent catch rate on 14 targets for 187 yards and three scores) has been a more reliable target than Josh Gordon (55 percent catch rate on 20 targets for 175 yards and one score). And Bills coach Sean McDermott has held the Patriots to 25 points or less in three of four meetings, which has included times when New England’s offense was peaking. Add it all up, and this looks like a game of punts, field position and turnovers. Between Allen and Tom Brady, it’s not hard to pick which quarterback is more likely to problem-solve as the day wears on.”Marcel Louis-Jacques agrees on that one.

“Josh Allen has yet to turn in four quarters of mistake-free football this season, but he’ll need to against the Patriots,” he reported. “A large part of his game is his ability to improvise. Whether he’ll be able to make smart improvisational decisions against an opportunistic New England defense will determine how successful the Bills’ offense will be Sunday.”
