Rob Gronkowski Makes A Decision On His Patriots Comeback

Rob Gronkowski decided to retire, but fans won’t stop talking about his comeback. He’s been receiving a lot of questions about this comeback. The former tight end decided to put an end to these rumors.

He isn’t coming back.

Gronk appeared on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show” and talked about the possibility to put on his No.87 jersey.

“When I retired, I retired for a reason: because I needed to step away,” Gronk said. “So, it would be a ‘no.’ There it is. I never say ‘no,’ because I’ve said ‘no,’ and everyone’s like, ‘Yeah … he’s kidding. He’s coming back,’ … But it’s a ‘no.’ In my mind, that’s how it is. It’s a no.”

The situation was so bad that Gronk had 20 concussions and 5 blackouts. He was in a lot of pain, but he will definitely let his kids play football. Not before he teaches them how to play the best ball.

“I truly believe any injury that you receive is fixable though. I went through it. I had 9 surgeries. Probably had like 20 concussions in my life, like, no lie. I remember 5, like, blackout ones.

“I would let my son play football, but first off I would educate him on the game,” Gronk added. “Educate him on what I went through.”

His teammate, Tom Brady, won’t force Gronk to come back.

“I love that guy,” Brady said during his appearance on “The Greg Hill Show” Monday morning. “I’m so happy that he’s enjoying his time, his life. He seems to really be doing a lot of great things. He knows how I feel about him. I want what’s best for him. He’s the only person that can make those decisions. I don’t lobby for those things.”

According to him, Gronk has different priorities now.

“I have a great relationship with him. He has given actually a hell of a lot to our team already over the course of a long period of time, and I think people should be very appreciative for what he’s brought to the team and what he’s brought to the region. I think he’s a very special guy. He’s just in a different phase of his life.”
