Ex-Patriot Donte’ Stallworth Gives Needed Perspective After Loss To Ravens

The New England Patriots lost the game to the Baltimore Ravens. Some said it was the only outcome of this game. Jason Whitlock said the Ravens would be the first to defeat Tom Brady and his teammates. The 37-20 loss to the Ravens is the last thing New England needed, but it happened. The loss got the attention of Donte’ Stallworth.

Stallworth played with the Pats in 2007 and again in 2012. He shared his opinion of the loss.

“Hey Patriots fans, the ravens were the better team tonight, you can’t win em all. It’s better to lose now, in November, than later in the season … trust me.”

That’s pretty much the same former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi said.

“I told a few people from the Ravens org earlier this week they would give the Patriots their first loss of the season,” Stallworth added. “You could just feel it, it was in the air. Every game is a different matchup, and tonight Baltimore won their individual matchups vs New England.”

Head coach Bill Belichick wasn’t in the mood of talking after the game.

“There is really not much to say tonight,” he said during the post-game press conference. “Obviously, we didn’t do anything normal, certainly didn’t coach well. Give them credit, they were better than we were tonight, certainly the better team. We all have to do a better job.”

Donte’ Stallworth will agree with Brady

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady offered credit where it was due.

“I give them a lot of credit. They played a good game. They made a lot of plays offensively and defensively. We just didn’t match them. When you’re on the road, you’ve got to play well in all three phases. Offensively, we didn’t do a good enough job; too many missed opportunities.”

The Patriots will have enough time to regain the control in the next two weeks. They are playing the Philadelphia Eagles, and it will be another game worth watching. Hopefully, they won’t lose the next game.

It was a bad game and a predicted loss. Lamar Jackson did his job, and his teammates gave him a hand during the game.
