Julian Edelman Responds To Antonio Brown-To-Patriots Rumor

The New England Patriots are rolling into week 12 with Super Bowl hopes. Quarterback Tom Brady has been quick to admit that the offense has worked to do, however. Obviously with a record as good as theirs, there isn’t too much to complain about. But there is always room for improvement. And that is what this new story aims to do.

There has been chatter amongst NFL heads that Antonio Brown could re-sign with the New England Patriots after his premature departure earlier in the year.

Standout receiver Julian Edelman had a few thoughts on the prospect of Antonio Brown coming back.

“I don’t make personnel decisions,” Edelman said. “My focus is entirely on the Dallas Cowboys.”

“We’ve got a huge game this week, this is a team that is playing very well and is a team you don’t get to see. This is America’s team. Everyone grew up either loving or hating the Cowboys. So, that’s where my focus is at.”

It seems like Edelman has his mind solely on the Dallas Cowboys and that is a good thing. This is a huge game. But maybe he isn’t the best when it comes to team news.

“I think that’s the only way I find out,” Edelman said when asked if he’s ever learned about team news on social media. “We’ve got a department that handles that, and they do what’s best for the team in their eyes, and we kind of just go out and play.”

“There’s been plenty of times when you look at the ticker and go, ‘Oh, we signed that guy. Cool.’ “

It seems like Edelman is interested in playing football and will leave the team decisions for the people in charge of that sort of thing. Antonio Brown got himself in trouble earlier in the season when several complaints of harassment came down on him.

He was quickly let go by the Patriots but he hasn’t stopped trying to clear his name. We will see if there is any substance to these rumors or if this is simply more NFL gossip. He would be a great addition to the struggling offense.
