LeBron James Had Fun With Davis For Going Back To Locker Room

Lakers superstar LeBron James has a lot of fun in Los Angeles, and he really likes to tease Anthony Davis. LeBron teased his teammate after the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Phoenix Suns Tuesday night. The former Pelican received a hit in the rib area during the first quarter. He had to go in the locker room to get taped up in the second half of the match.

Later in the game, LeBron enjoyed the moment and teased the six-time All-Star.

King James praises Davis’ toughness to media members, but “did prod” at Davis in the locker room, explaining how he and Rajon Rondo would have shook off the hit and stayed in the game. LeBron also asked his teammate if he’d need pads for the next game.

“While James praised Davis’ toughness to the media, James did prod at the Lakers’ big man later in the locker room, pointing out how he and Rajon Rondo — who both played high school football — would have shook off a hit to the ribs and stayed in the game,” wrote ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “James asked Davis if he would need pads for the next contest as the young superstar playfully shook his head during the chiding.”

Every great friendship starts in the locker room

Well, players do this once in a while. LeBron is really proud of Davis and his toughness. Davis wants to play, and his teammates have to pick it up. The team will definitely cover Davis when he is injures. He is doing a lot for the team, and does his best to help them win a title.

“He wants to play,” LeBron said of Davis. “He wants to play, and we just have to pick it up. For him, when he’s showing that grit when he’s playing with injuries, there’s no reason for any of us not to be out there, as well. He’s been showing everything.”

Davis was taking care of his right shoulder soreness and the hit in the ribs, but h really pull out a great performance against the Suns. The big man finished the match with 24 points, 12 rebounds and four assists.

LeBron and Davis have built such a great relationship. The king even talked to Davis about the experience he had with the Cleveland Cavaliers and his decision to leave the team in 2010. LeBron was really scared, and Davis understands him best because he had to go through a similar experience. Davis had to leave New Orleans, and even requested a trade. He really liked the city, and made really good friends there. It was hard for him to leave his team, but he also wanted to play with King James in Los Angeles.

The Lakers won eight games in the regular season, and they are off to another big win. They have a really great chance to make the playoffs this season. Game on, Lakers!
