Chris Jones Explains Heated Exchange With Tom Brady In Chiefs-Patriots Game

The New England Patriots are the most successful team in the NFL and their opponents would do anything to get quarterback Tom Brady out of the game. Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones knows it best.

Jones and TB12 got involved in an exchange at the end of the first half of the game at Gillette Stadium on Sunday. The 2018 second-team All-Pro revealed after the Chiefs’ 23-16 win that his trash-talking was in no way related to Brady. Jones was just trying to make Brady uncomfortable.

Trash-talking is a regular thing during games, and Jones did what most NFL players do. The defensive lineman has all the respect in this world for Brady, and he admits that Brady is the greatest of all time.

“Just ***-talking,” Jones said. “Tom is a heck of a quarterback, a Hall of Famer. Any time you’re able to talk crap, you gotta affect him any type of way. I got much respect for Tom Brady, man. He’s definitely a GOAT in my eyes, one of the greatest. Any time you’re able to affect his game any type of way, whether it’s talking, whether it’s hitting him, whether it’s getting him uncomfortable, you got to.”

Truth is, Jones wasn’t the only Chiefs player to do some trash-talking. Frank Clark had something to say, too. It was an incredible road win for the Chiefs, and players got in the mood. Well, Brady is used to this. His team has been winning games and Super Bowls for two decades, and rivals like to talk.

Brady and his team have three more games. They have a road game and two home games to finish the season. The Chiefs are great, and so are the Baltimore Ravens. New England has lost three games, and hopefully, they won’t lose another one.

Chris Jones isn’t the only problem

The organization has a bigger problem to solve at the moment. The Cincinnati Bengals didn’t like seeing the Patriots production crew at the sideline in Cleveland, and the NFL has started a probe into the allegations. The production man was just recording, and the Cleveland Browns were asked for permission. But, the league and Cincinnati didn’t know anything about this.

Head coach Bill Belichick said his team was in no way related to the filming because players have zero involvement in the production department.

The Cincinnati Bengals are next on the list, and coach Belichick will have to do some game-planning to finish the season with success. His players shouldn’t lose another game. New England is off to another Super Bowl win, remember? Game on, Patriots!
