NFL Experts Made Their Predictions For Patriots-Texans Game

The New England Patriots are playing their Week 13 game against the Houston Texans, and NFL experts have already made predictions about the outcome of the game. Most of them say that the Patriots are winning this one.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss believes that Tom Brady will lead his team to another win. The quarterback topped his season-high total of 348 yards passing against the Washington Redskins. This comes as a result of confronting a defensive scheme he knows well. He is also more comfortable with Isaiah Wynn on the field. Phillip Dorsett II is expected to return, and the same applies to Mohamed Sanu Sr. The Texans have a lot of problems, and they are unable to generate consistent pressure.

Sarah Barshop from ESPN agrees with Reiss. The Texans can run defense back on track against Brady’s team. The Patriots average 3.4 yards per rush, and that’s the third lowest in the league and on a good way to be the lowest in the Brady-Belichick era. This was confirmed by ESPN’s Stats & Information. However, Houston has allowed 505 rushing yards in the games they played without J.J. Watt.

Gregg Rosenthal focused on the Patriots’ offense. He noticed that the offense can run a corner. Sony Michel had more running room than he has all season. Isaiah Wynn is back, and this makes perfect sense. Brady had six drops, and that stopped him from finishing with a better line than 17-of-37 for 190 yards and a touchdown. Rosenthal is also impressed with the impact Jakobi Meyers and N’Keal Harry made. TB12 has to score on Sunday.

Experts predict the score of the big game

“There were signs last Sunday, glimpsed through the sideways rain, that the Patriots’ offense can turn a corner,” Rosenthal noted. “Sony Michel saw more running room than he has all season because of an offensive line buoyed by the return of tackle Isaiah Wynn. Tom Brady played well and would have finished with a better line than 17 of 37 for 190 yards and a touchdown if not for six drops on a wet day, while rookie receivers Jakobi Meyers and N’Keal Harry are making an impact.

“After three nasty-weather games in the previous four, the Patriots should be thrilled to play indoors against old pal Romeo Crennel and his star-free defense. This figures to be a game in which Brady needs to score, because Deshaun Watson and the multi-dimensional Texans running attack could expose New England’s team speed in a Sunday Night classic Al Michaels has been waiting for. Look for Brady to be up to the task.”

Pete Prisco from CBS Sports is really optimistic. He went with a 23-14 win for the Patriots. New England has problems with their offense, but these problems are about to disappear. The team has to find a way to slow down Deshaun Watson.

Mike Florio from ProFootball Talk knows that the Patriots have no room for mistakes. The Ravens are following their tracks. Let’s not forget that Bill O’Brien has yet to defeat Bill Belichick.

This will be a tough game for both teams. Did you make a pick?
