Patriots Release Full List Of Inactives Ahead Of Game Vs. Bills

The New England Patriots will play the last tough game for the season on Saturday. The Buffalo Bills will arrive in Foxboro, and New England is ready for the challenge. Tom Brady’s team will be down one cornerback when they take on the Bills. Slot cornerback Jonathan Jones won’t suit up for the game due to a groin injury. That’s the bad news. The good news is the return of Jason McCourty. New England has released the full list of inactives.

QB Cody Kessler

RB Damien Harris

TE Ryan Izzo

OT Korey Cunningham

OL Jermaine Eluemunor

DT Byron Cowart

CB Jonathan Jones (groin)

Kessler, Harris, Izzo, Cunningham, Eluemunor, and Cowart are healthy scratches for the Patriots. Harris and Cowart are rookie players. Kessler, Cunningham, and Eluemunor all didn’t practice with the team in training camp, and were signed late in the summer or during the regular season.

McCourty, wide receiver Julian Edelman and linebackers Jamie Collins and Ja’Whaun Bentley will suit up for the game despite their questionable status. Their names were added to this week’s injury report.

Jarrett Stidham is expected to back up quarterback Tom Brady.

New England will play with Sony Michel, James White, Rex Burkhead and Brandon Bolden over Harris at running back.

Ben Watson and Matt LaCosse will play at tight end position.

James Ferentz and Marshall Newhouse will support starting offensive linemen Isaiah Wynn, Joe Thuney, Ted Karras, Shaq Mason, and Marcus Cannon.

Defensive tackles Danny Shelton, Lawrence Guy, and Adam Butler are expected to play over Cowart.

McCourty will probably take Jones’ regular slot role, and will join Stephon Gilmore and JC Jackson for the starting cornerback roles. New England has other options in the slot. They can go with Jackson or safety Patrick Chung.

This is a big game for the Patriots nation, and Kyle Van Noy has already encouraged fans to support the team. New England will probably win this game despite the offensive struggles. Tom Brady’s elbow is fine, and Julian Edelman feels good, too. Let’s see how will New England handle this game and the struggles Buffalo brings on the field for the game.
