Kobe Bryant’s Dad Seen For the First Time Since Crash

Kobe Bryant lost his life in a tragic helicopter crash outside Los Angeles. This wasn’t the only tragedy the Bryant family has to survive. They also lost Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter, Gigi, as the girl was traveling in the same helicopter. Bryant’s dad, Joe, went out for the first time since the accident.

The 65-year-old basketball star, also known as Jellybean, stepped out of his Las Vegas home after a big yellow bouquet was delivered. Joe and Pamela are going through hell now, and their lives are turned upside down. One of their neighbors who wanted to stay anonymous said the family is too heartbroken to make any comments about the tragedy.

Kobe’s mom and dad are devastated

“I talked to them twice yesterday and took over the food and a card, and briefly today, they are just devastated, as you can imagine,” the neighbor said. “It’s a private, awful moment, losing their son and grand-daughter, it’s just horrific. I was talking to Joe briefly the day before, we were out for a walk, it was all happy and good and talking about the gorgeous weather and then it switched in 24 hours where their lives were turned upside down.”

The neighbor also revealed that Bryant’s parents were very close to their daughters Sharia and Shaya who live in Las Vegas. The person also added that the Bryants are lovely, kind and decent people. This is a really sensitive time for them, and no words can describe their loss.

Kobe’s former coach and best friend of his dad Joe, Wayne Slappy, said that the family has a hard time coping with the “black hole” the tragedy left. Wayne Slappy has been close friends with Joe, and he said that Kobe’s dad feels empty.

“Can you imagine a black hole? It’s empty, how do you fill it? They’re a close-knit family. He was 41-years-old, and then his daughter dies in an accident with him too.”

Kobe enjoyed his time with his parents. He always had time to come around. His wife Vanessa and daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3 and seven-month-old Capri will have to survive the worst nightmare in their lives.
