Tom Brady Reflects On ‘Very, Very Cool Moment’ During Super Bowl LIV

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady didn’t hit the field on Sunday. The New England Patriots didn’t compete in Super Bowl LIV, but they were there. Brady made some great memories on the Hard Rock Stadium field, and this photo says it all. Prior to the game, TB12 received honors with the rest of the NFL 100 All-Time Team. He took a photo with Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, John Elway, Dan Marino and Roger Staubach. Super Bowl LIV was special for Tom Brady.

Brady took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the magnificent moment. He was really happy to be with every legendary player. Brady also admitted that their game inspired him to be an even better player. Here he is today, winning Super Bowls and being referred to as the GOAT. Let’s not forget that Brady doesn’t like being called that way.

“It’s not often you get to meet your idols. In this picture, I was lucky enough to be with almost all of them,” the caption read. “I am so thankful for them inspiring me to be the best I could be! This is truly my dream, coming true.”

During his halftime interview with Jim Gray on Westwood One Radio, Brady talked about the moment. It was an emotional moment for him, and he will always remember this magnificent experience.

The quarterback hung up this photo in his office. He met his idol. It was a great opportunity for him to be around these greats. Being in one picture with Montana and the rest of the guys is quite an honor. Steve Young was missing, of course. He would have made this photo perfect. However, that doesn’t change the fact that it was a cool moment for Brady. He was standing with all the other incredible players. Each of them had an incredible impact on the game. According to Brady, this was one of the coolest moments he has ever experienced.

“That (photo) is being hung up in my office,” Brady told Gray, as transcribed by WEEI.com. “It is not often that you get to meet your idol and I happened to be around just about every one of them there at one time, in one picture. Steve Young was another one that could just as easily been up there with us. That would have kind of made it all complete, but just — again, very, very cool moment for me in my life.”

The All-Time team featured five dynasty-era Pats. TB12, tight end Rob Gronkowski, wide receiver Randy Moss, kicker Adam Vinatieri and head coach Bill Belichick. Former New England guard John Hannah and cornerback Mike Haynes were honored, too.

This was one of the best days Brady has ever had in his life.

“It was a pretty cool day for me personally, just to be there and take in the energy of the stadium, but to see the guys who I have looked up to for so long,” Brady told Gray. “In the pregame, it was very surreal standing in a room with the greatest players in the history of the NFL.”
