Report: Two Lakers Players Tested Positive For Coronavirus

The coronavirus pandemic spreads throughout the league. The Philadelphia 76ers revealed that three members of the organization have COVID-19. They didn’t specify whether any players have the virus. As noted in a statement released on Thursday, players, coaches and basketball operations employees have been tested. Three of the tests came back positive.

The team revealed that the three people are practicing self-isolation and will receive proper treatment.

“The Philadelphia 76ers, in consultation with medical experts and the NBA, received the recommendation that certain individuals from the organization, including players, coaches and specific basketball operations support staff, be tested for COVID-19. The tests were secured and processed privately.

“Three individuals have received positive test results for COVID-19. All other test results are currently negative. We have reported this information to state and local health authorities as required.”

Lakers players have coronavirus

The Denver Nuggets reported a member of their franchise has the virus. Kevin Durant, Detroit Pistons’ Christian Woods, Utah Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell have the virus.

NBA insider Shams Charania reported that two LA players have the virus. There’s no update on the identity of the players. However, Charania also reported that several players have yet to do their tests.

LA played against the Nets last Tuesday. Four Nets players have the virus.

Boston Celtics star Marcus Smart shared a video on social media. He announced he has the virus. The player doesn’t have any symptoms. “I’m okay, I feel fine. I don’t feel any of the symptoms,” he said in the video.
