Watch: Julian Edelman Shares A Highlight Play From His College Days

The coronavirus froze US sports, and athletes do their workout inside their homes. This gives them plenty of time to recall their best games. Patriots wideout Julian Edelman shared a highlight video of his college days, and fans enjoyed it. This was a lovely way of reminding everyone of his greatness.

The wideout showed off a brilliant touchdown run from his senior season at Kent State University. The run happened during a game against the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 2008.

“#TBT on a Tuesday because no one actually knows what day of the week it is anymore”, Edelman joked in the caption.

Julian Edelman had great highlight videos from college

The star wideout was a three-year starter at quarterback for Kent State in the period between 2006 and 2008.

In his senior season, Edelman was the leading passer of the Golden Flashes. He was able to complete 56% of his passes (153 of 275 passes for 1,820 yards). Edelman also threw 13 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. The superstar was the team’s leading rusher. He had 1,370 yards on 215 attempts which gives him an average of 6.4 yards per carry. Edelman also scored 13 touchdowns.

The brilliant football mind had a great offense in 2008. Edelman set a school single-season record. Former NFL player Josh Cribbs held this record by that point.

In May 2019, to much of our joy, Edelman completed his degree from Kent State. He graduated as a senior integrated studies major. His teammates cracked a few jokes about this, but Edelman didn’t mind any of that. He has already been inducted into Kent State’s Varsity “K” Hall of Fame.

The Patriots missed the chance to win a title this season. However, Edelman helped them win the Super Bowl challenge against the Los Angeles Rams. The veteran wideout caught 10 passes for 141 yards. These numbers helped the Patriots bring the Lombard Trophy home with a 13-3 win.

If you ask Tom Brady, he will say that Edelman will be in the Patriot Hall of Fame. Brady believes that the veteran wideout could also be a Pro Football Hall of Famer. Brady was impressed with Edelman’s efforts, and he really likes where he is going.
