Watch: Patriots’ Julian Edelman Sends A Message To Workers At Mass. General Hospital

Patriots wideout Julian Edelman never misses an opportunity to say “thank you” to his heroes. This time he thanked workers at Mass. General Hospital.

MGH shared the video on Thursday. In his video, Edelman shows his appreciation for the work medical professionals do to help the nation put the virus under control. The US struggles against the deadly virus, and thousands of people have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Mayor Marty Walsh explains that testing efforts will increase in the next period. MGH is one of the five Boston hospitals to provide testing for suspect cases. The hospital predicts that Massachusetts will probably be hit with a second wave this summer if authorities lift business closures and stay-at-home orders this spring. This will increase the current workload health experts have.

“I hear you guys have been working your tail off, doing all the dirty work and I just wanted to sit here and let you guys know that everyone outside that world is super appreciative of what you guys have been doing,” Edelman said. “Specifically the nurses, doctors, technicians, the environmental services and everyone engaged in this fight, thank you.”

Everyone is healthy in his family. But, the wideout didn’t forget those who work day and night to keep us healthy and alive.

“Everyone in my family is healthy as of now, but thinking for the bigger picture and what you guys are doing, trying to be as safe as we can, we want to just thank you guys, your constant fight and battling. The hours that you’re putting in to keep our country and everyone safe. Keep on doing it, and remember one thing: tough times don’t last, tough people do.”

Edelman has been sharing motivational messages in the past few weeks. He encourages everyone to find something cool to do at home. Social distance can save our lives at the moment and so will proper handwashing technique. Edelman tells his fans and followers to work out at home and stay in touch with their loved ones. He even took part in a cause and donated money to Holocaust survivors hit by the COVID-19 crisis.
